Privacy Policy
Aceloop Configurator is a product configurator for Shopify stores. This page explains, in plain terms, what data the app handles and what it doesn’t.
Who we are
Aceloop Configurator (“the app”) is operated by The Aceloop (“we,” “us”). It adds a visual product configurator to Shopify storefronts and makes sure the configured price is the price charged at checkout.
What the app collects
The app is built entirely on Shopify app extensions and does not collect, store, or have access to your customers’ personal information — no names, emails, addresses, payment details, or order contents. The app works only with:
- Your store’s domain (e.g.
your-store.myshopify.com) — used to identify your store and issue a signing key unique to it. - A per-store signing key the app generates at install — stored in your store’s app metafields and in our secure backend, used only to verify that a configured product’s price hasn’t been tampered with before checkout.
- Product handles and configuration options — when a shopper configures a product, the configurator matches it to the right product and calculates the price. No shopper identity is involved.
How we use it
Solely to run the configurator and to guarantee the price shown is the price charged at checkout. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.
Where data goes
Configuration and pricing data is processed by our backend service (Convex) to render the configurator and sign prices. Price verification runs inside Shopify’s own infrastructure and makes no external network calls.
Retention
Your store’s signing key is kept while the app is installed and deleted on uninstall or request. Configuration content you create lives in your Aceloop account.
Security
Each store has its own signing key, so a key never protects more than one store. Keys are never exposed to shoppers or in storefront code.
